The Art of Dewdrops | Fine Art Photography by Bill Boxer

A World Within a Drop
What appears to be a simple dewdrop can reveal an extraordinary world of color, reflection, form, and abstraction.
My photography begins with observation. Working with natural light and the smallest details of my surroundings, I discover visual relationships that often cannot be appreciated by the unaided eye. Through photographic interpretation, these discoveries become works of fine art.
The resulting photographs range from recognizable reflections to painterly compositions and unexpected abstractions.
Exhibition Possibilities
The Art of Dewdrops offers a body of work suitable for solo exhibitions, curated group presentations, galleries, and other cultural spaces.
The photographs can be presented as a broad exploration of dewdrop photography or organized around four complementary themes:
-
Signature and Visual Discovery
-
Abstraction and Transformation
-
Painterly and Mysterious
-
Quiet Observation and Elegant Form
I welcome collaboration with curators and exhibition organizers in selecting photographs and developing presentations appropriate to their spaces and audiences.
Prints and Exhibition Presentation
Exhibition photographs are produced as fine-art canvas prints, professionally mounted in contemporary floating frames.
This presentation enhances the visual depth, color, and dimensional qualities of the images while providing a clean, elegant appearance suitable for gallery display.
Available formats include 12 × 12, 20 × 20, and 24 × 20 inches, with larger sizes possible depending on the photograph and exhibition requirements.
Print selections, sizes, and arrangements can be tailored in collaboration with curators and gallery directors to complement the exhibition space and overall presentation.
Exhibitions and Recognition
My Close to Home solo exhibition was presented at the St. Johns County Administration Building in 2025. My photography has also received recognition through LensCulture and Light Space & Time.
My work has been presented in gallery, community, and cultural settings, and selected photographs have entered private and public collections.
Artist Talks and Presentations
I also offer illustrated presentations exploring the evolution of my photography, the art of observation, and the discovery of visual worlds hidden in everyday surroundings.
These talks invite audiences to consider the difference between simply seeing a subject and discovering its artistic possibilities.
Slow down. Look longer. See more.
